I experienced the Richmond restaurant Comfort recently. Have seen a lot of local RVA buzz about it on the social network highway so was looking forward to trying it out. I dig how RVA is so plugged into twitter & sharing good foodie recommendation!:) Also, my friend Dionne gave me a gift card credit to apply ~ woohoo! Dionne, you rock!:)
Went in around 7pmish, waited at least an hour. Busy times there.. Clearly people are enjoying the food!! Couldn't make a reservation so I'd prob try to get there early next time or around 8 to get seated faster. Nonetheless, I did enjoy my meal & will return again. My date wanted to try the meatloaf, but it was out at the time we ordered. I tried the catfish dish w fresh green beans, fried okra, & mac n cheese. I did get side order of fried green tomatoes to try out, too. When I return I'll try the sirloin, skip the appetizer only to to leave for dessert next time! :) all in all, definitely left me feeling I had a nice comfort meal.:) Oh, oh and Definitely want to try the banana pudding next time, too. In my best Terminator voice... I'll be Baaaack.
Here are some pics snapped. Go try it for yourself! Not sure if this is the most recent, but I found this website: http://www.greenolivemedia.com/comfort/
If you have been there, tell me... What are your favorite dishes?
