Today was a gorgeous day... an exciting one as I headed out to meet Jeff, Doug, & Jim from New Kent Aviation. My friend Dan from work told me about the FBO. So glad he did! I had a great time meeting these guys, asking questions about training, & getting a tour of the place. Their passion & care for flying was impressive & apparent. I'm still making my final decisions on taking classes for my private pilot's license... First step is to schedule my physical!
I liked seeing a steady flow of pilots come into the office, chatting, answering my questions about how long they've been flying (most many years), checking out plane availability ...good reinforcement to see those coming in using the FBO.
Coast to coast flying adventures ~ I did my first Discovery flight in 2009 in a tiny R22 helicopter, doors off, in Long Beach, Ca. Did my first Cessna Discovery flight in 2012 at Curtis Eads in Norfolk, VA. Both were a blast. If you're interested in a Cessna flight for the first time and/or pilot training in the Richmond area check out New Kent Aviation.
Here's their website for info on flying, testimonials, training & more. Posting a few pics I snapped from the adventure today!

Do you fly?
If so, what do you love most about it?
If not, but you want to... what is holding you back?
Everyday is an adventure, if you want it to be. Make it enjoyable... that's my plan & I'm sticking with it! Safe travels:)
Cessna 152
Seemed so small inside like you couldn't possibly have 2 adults in there.. but you can! Jim & I hoped in the seats so I could see how we fit. It is a snug fit, so I recommend having altoids or gum handy.. Just saying!:)
